More Book Cover Amazons.

  Once again I'm moving away from warrior women on album covers to post a selection of sword-swinging pinups from cheap fantasy books. Features boobs so possibly NSFW.

  Setting something of a trend, notice how the artist is focusing on the girl up front?

Notice also how her feet are sliding out from under her and she's about to fall over.

 

In all fairness, round about the time this came out the fantasy bookshelves

featured about a hundred different "Gor" novels, all with submissive, 

half-naked women on the cover. This is the distaff version. 

At some point heroine Morgaine seems to have lost all her armour. And her horse. 

Also, Elric Of Melnibone wants a word. Something about nicking his pose...

My, she's a big girl, isn't she? 

At one point these books were being pushed hard as the next big thing in fantasy.

Sadly they were Ok but nothing special.

Probably the best part about them was half-elf,half-orc warrior Makri

and yes, she did wear a chain-mail bikini. (She was a waitress and it was the official uniform.)

Again, the outfit on the cover does make an appearance in the story

and there is a valid explanation for why her armour's got a dirty great hole right over the heart.

I have no idea why these two are fighting or indeed what happened to their clothes.

But I can tell you that the brunette is seriously pissed off.

Since I keep acquiring these by happenstance, I'll probably post some more at some stage.
