Heavy Metal Cover Girls: Playing with Fire

Hello and welcome to another collection of Heavy Metal Cover Girls, a semi-regular feature where I trawl the internet for album cover art starring lovely ladies - and then post it here for your entertainment.
I might even introduce you to some cool new music too.

Today's selection combines two elements you see a lot in Rock/Metal:
Girls.
And stuff on fire.

It could just be a coincidence but frankly, I doubt it.

Let's start with a cover that's simple but effective.

Firehouse - S/T (USA 1990)

metal album cover sexy woman fire
In true Glam Metal fashion, we get a sexy pyromaniac in her nightie.

A song that isn't actually on this album but what the hell - it fits.

There's nothing subtle about the next one.

Solitaire - Extremely Flamable (Finland 1995)

Robot woman with flamethrower album cover
I love it when a band has a consistent theme for their covers.
In this case, Solitaire's mascot is a giant robot woman prone to violence.
On the "Invasion Metropolis" CD, she's got cannon firing out of her boobs. Excellent!
This is not as common as you might expect so I'm struggling to find a theme that fits for that one.

Another song from a different album entirely.

Dancing Flame -S/T (Brazil 2009)

She looks so happy, doesn't she?

While her sister clearly has some issues...

Dancing Flame - Carnival Of Flames (Brazil 2014)

Of course I'm not going to tell anybody, you scary, mad firebug, you

Mystery Blue - Steel Claws (France 2006)

Album art woman flames metal
This is why you don't play with matches.
You set yourself on fire, you silly girl.
Don't just stand there contemplating your manicure, go find a pond
or something. There might be a fire extinguisher in that building behind you.
...
Why aren't you moving yet?

Vigilante Justice - Trial by Fire (USA 2014)

"I wonder why my feet are so hot? "
I've never really understood those half-sleeves anyway?
How do you get the bloody things to stay on?

Going by the cover I was expecting  symphonic Corset Metal but they are closer to LA Glam/Sleaze Metal
Male vocalist too.

The next cover is a good place to end as I doubt anybody will be able to top it.

Avenger Kills - лавное жизнь  (Russia 2013)

Album cover volcano naked woman fire phoenix
You...you just set off a freaking volcano!
You don't do arson by halves do you, love?

That's all folks.

  1. Love the first Dancing Flame cover. That's what I call real class: dancing while the world burns.

    1. I rather like it. Compared to the others, it's full of joy and movement. Compared to, y'know, wilful property damage

  2. OK, my favs are 1. Avenger Kills (was a huge Avengers fan back in the day) 2. Vigilante Justice (like that vampire look) and 3. Firehouse (good looking woman).

    1. They're all pretty good bits of art, aren't they?

Well maybe not the Solitaire cover.

I'm sure I saw a Classic Rock bit about the woman on the Firehouse cover. I'll have to find it sometime.
