The Metal Project: Ten Of The Best

The Metal Project: The Internet's largest collection of Metal songs about Metal. 


  By my reckoning this the 100th post I've made under the banner of The Metal Project. Considering the whole thing started with me a bit bored one night and wondering "How many Heavy Metal songs are there that actually have "Metal" in the title?" that's not bad going.
 So today I'm going to do something a bit different. In the two years I've been doing this, I've found a lot of cool songs I didn't know existed. Here's ten of my favourites.
  Every single one of these is something that was new to me at the time. I hope you'll come to like them as much as I do.

    Congratulations on your 100th post, Big D! I owe my blossoming awareness of Metal entirely to your enterprises. I have loved the coverage on cover arts all this time. And I love the ones you do on comics --exotic, rare, bizarre and eye-popping. Way to go!

    Awesome, Big D! I though Ambeon was cool though (man, I hate admitting this) Power Metal from Space just had me smiling from ear to ear in a Spinal Tap sort of way. Loved it!

      I'm glad you enjoyed them.

      I suspect Ambeon are more Prog Rock than Metal but what the hell. It's a cool song so it stays.

    Gratz on your centennial. I have enjoyed visiting here for the awesome images and some great tunes.

    I really like Power Metal from Space, also Ambeon is very interesting.

      Power Metal From Space is one of those songs where you're not sure if they're having a laugh or not. Adds to the charm.

      And the Ambeon one is really spacey and mellow. A bit of a departure for this blog.
