The Metal Project: An attempt to create an online resource for every single Heavy Metal Song with "Metal" in the title.
So the Eurovision Song Contest is upon us once again. Peculiar outfits, baffling props, cringeworthy dance routines and some of the dodgiest voting you will ever see outside of Zimbabwe.
Some of the music is OK, I suppose, but it's not the most exciting set of tunes, is it.?
Time to change all that.
Ladies and Gents, welcome to the Eurovision Metal Contest 2014.
Over the next couple of posts these bands will act as standard bearers for their nation. I'm going to restrict myself to songs from the 21st Century and of course, every single one will have "Metal" in the title. Enjoy.

Love the idea! Same here in the States, we have American Idol, The Voice, ....... every so often a rocker lasts for a few weeks but it's always a pop-wanna be that wins those shows. We both need a hard rock competition! I couldn't get your site to accept my comment but it's Mike from Mike's Daily Jukebox.
ReplyDeleteThe Swedes and Finns have had bona fide rockers win their talent shows before. Wouldn't it be great if the next X-Factor winner wasn't a fresh-faced pinup but somebody who had the throat of Bon Scott?
DeleteHaha BigD. Quite a thought.
ReplyDeleteAs it happens I have a friend who's travelling to Copenhagen for EurVision. I'm trying to picture her face.if she was confronted with these dudes!
Chhers, ic
Weirder things have happened. Apparently a Black Metal band tried out for Norway a few years back. That might have been fun.
