Evening all.
Today we will be posting more of the scans that I never got round to putting up on Sunday.
I know it's a bit late. Sorry.
This time we're looking at some of the delightful damsels that graced US rings in the late 1960s.
Donna Christanello shows off her new ring jacket.
Linda Carroll shows off her new boots.
Lois Cook dances with the Invisible Man
Mary Lou Roddy goes for the "glamour girl" pose.
Pat Regan opts for the classic "Hand on hip" pose that has sadly fallen out of favour in recent times.
While Vickie Ross looks more than a little worried.
"Can you jsut take the damn picture already?"
Amateurs now, with a short article that is clearly not blatant fanservice.
Dr. Doyle G. Russell, ex US Army Intelligence, moved on to training young women in the art of wrestling in a bid to make American women more athletic. He's not in any of the photos but star student Ann Ambrose is.
Ann looking like she just wandered in from a beauty pageant.
Ann shows off her new dye-job and some astonishing strength.
And Ann (brunette again) squeezes another student, all the while hoping that it never occurs to Jackie to just drop her.
For the third and final part I'm back to pictures of burly blokes hitting each other.
But for now, here's the mag's back page pinup.
That's all folks.
I'm glad this made you happy. Every time I do one of these posts I wonder if the wrestler or their kin are going to see it and get a trip down memory lane.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences on your loss.
