I suffer from a couple of awkward conditions not recognised by regular medicine.
The first being a tendency towards impulse purchases -Call it "Ooh! Shiny! Syndrome" and this is how my living room now holds an awful lot of books, a figurine of Britt Baker DMD, a wooden broadsword and a certain cuddly chicken. (See HERE)
This compounded by something I call "Collectoritis" where the symptoms manifest like this:
If I get more than one of something, I start wanting to have three, then ten and next thing I know, yet another collection has started.
And that's how I have a shelf full of Spitfires, not to mention where The Metal Project got started.
The flashpoint in this case was picking up a packet of assorted plastic toy soldiers in a charity shop.
Why?
"Ooh! Shiny!"
Then I happened to find another bag of toy soldiers in the next charity shop and next thing I knew...
I think now is the right time to let a picture explain it all.
Oh lord, what have I started?
